Sandy Colton ©Stars and StripesNorth Borneo, June, 1959: The pilot of a U.S. Marine Corps Kaman HOK-1 "Huskie" observation helicopter gets instructions from the ground during Operation Saddle Up, a Southeast Asia Treaty Organization (SEATO) exercise in British North Borneo. Three thousand Marines and British Foresters took part in the landing, which was supported by ships and planes of the U.S. 7th Fleet and the British, Australian and New Zealand navies.
