Makeshift rodeo in Japan, 1974

Marvin Ratliff of Ruidoso, N.M., had trouble finding opportunities to ride bulls in Japan, so they came up with an alternative. The barrel was attached to four posts by ropes, which were shaken by helpers to achieve the desired effect.
