Teams to watch - Plocek leads a deep Royals program that will contend for both the girls and boys championships; Kaiserslautern expects to qualify around 10 combined players for Europeans; Vilseck has a solid group of returning and new boys; Lakenheath remains a lingering contender.

Key dates - Sept. 26 is the most vibrant day of the quick regular season, with all 11 teams in action at four sites; champions will be crowned at the European tournament Oct. 10-11 at Wiesbaden.

Also - DODDS-Europe’s six Division I schools are joined by AFNORTH, Baumholder, Bitburg, Rota and SHAPE in fielding golf teams in 2013.
