With 28,000 dogs expected at this year’s Crufts dog show, there will be a lot of busy tails in Birmingham.

The show takes place from 8:15 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. through Sunday in the city’s National Exhibition Centre (NEC). Watch dogs compete, learn about more than 200 pedigree breeds, check out the Good Citizen Dog Scheme training program, get tips on working with your dog, talk to dog experts and bring home souvenirs for your canine buddy from hundreds of trade stands.

Daily tickets cost 17 pounds (about $27) for adults, 13 pounds for ages 5 to 15 and are free for children up to age 8. “Best in Show” tickets range from 17.50 pounds to 25.50 pounds.

Note that no dogs other than those participating in the show are permitted. Find more details at www.crufts.org.uk.
