"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" promises to be one of the biggest games of the year.

Unfortunately, it didn’t arrive in time to run a full review in this edition of Scene. So, here are some initial impressions based on a few hours of play.

Most "CoD" fans will be thrilled. Game play is excellent, building on what was already one of the best experiences in the shooter genre. Online competition is top notch, and the two-player "Special Ops" missions are very good. Graphics are detailed, crisp and realistic.

The campaign missions — which take about six hours to complete — are generally well designed and very exciting. However, the story that ties them together lacks coherence and logic and is sometimes downright offensive.
