Chocolate in Paris

Succumb to the temptation of chocolate in all forms at Un Dimanche à Paris, a new boutique shop that claims to be the first “chocolate concept store” in Paris.

The store was created by Pierre Cluizel, the son of a famous master chocolatier, and it offers an array of chocolates and pastries, demonstrations by a pastry chef working in an open kitchen, and cooking or pastry-making classes.

The store, on the Cour du Commerce between the Boulevard St. Germain and rue St. Andre des Arts, also has a salon and a restaurant where the cuisine incorporates chocolate, and a lounge area where the bartender will create made-to-order cocktails with chocolate.

Un Dimanche à Paris is open noon to 8 p.m. Mondays, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays.

The salon is open 3-6 p.m. daily, the lounge from 4 p.m. to midnight Tuesday through Saturday, and the restaurant noon to 2:30 p.m. and 7-10:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. See www.un-dimanche-a-paris.com, in French only.
