Scoppio del Carro/ Explosion of the CartAddress: Piazza del Duomo, Florence, ItalyDate: April 1 (Procession starts 10 a.m., explosion 11 a.m.) Each year on Easter Sunday, a cart resembling an ornate jewelry box is pulled through the city streets by a pair of garlanded oxen, accompanied by drummers, flag throwers and others in historical costume.
