Jim Schulz ©Stars and StripesThailand, January, 2005: A crew goes over paperwork inside the cockpit of a C-130 from the Yokota-based 36th Airlift Squadron during an effort to help victims of a tsunami that devastated areas of South Asia in December. Because the C-130 could land on a variety of surfaces and in a relatively short distance, day or night, it was well-suited for the mission. In all, 25 of these aircraft were helping deliver supplies and medical teams to the area.
