©Stars and StripesEbenhausen, Germany, December, 1946: Smoke and debris soar skyward as a Bavarian factory that provided gunpowder for the German war machine between 1870 and 1944 is blown up by a U.S. reparations team. Five tons of dynamite were used to destroy four buildings of the Fabrik Ebenhausen plant in separate blasts.
