Teruhiko Kikuchi ©Stars and StripesTokyo, August, 1967: Comedian Noriyuki "Pat" Morita pretends to fish while posing for photos during a tour of Japan that included shows at U.S. bases. Before his roles as Arnold on the Happy Days TV series and Mr. Miyagi in the Karate Kid movies, Morita was a stand-up comedian whose credits included appearances in top nightclubs around the U.S. and on the Tonight Show. A California native, he spent part of his childhood in a Japanese-American relocation camp during World War II.
