Before his roles as Arnold on the Happy Days TV series and Mr. Miyagi in the Karate Kid movies, Morita was a stand-up comedian whose credits included appearances in top nightclubs around the U.S. and on the Tonight Show. A California native, he spent part of his childhood in a Japanese-American relocation camp during World War II.
