Get in a Halloween mood by visiting one of the world’s largest pumpkin exhibitions, running through Nov. 4 at Blühendes Barock, a garden surrounding the baroque Residential Palace in Ludwigsburg, Germany. About 450,000 pumpkins and gourds are artistically arranged into sculptures reflecting a theme. This year, Switzerland is highlighted. On Sunday, enjoy the curious sight of the Kürbis-Regatta, in which huge carved pumpkins doubling as canoes race on the grounds’ lake.
