With the theme “Managing Trust,” the 2012 CeBit telecommunications trade show opens Tuesday and runs until March 10 in the fairgrounds of Hannover, Germany.

The event bills itself as the world’s largest international trade show for digital information technology and telecommunications for home and work environments. This year’s focus is trust and security in big data, cloud computing, mobility and social media. The fair is open to the public on March 9 and 10, while only trade representatives are admitted Tuesday through Thursday.

Daily admission is 34 euros in advance and 39 euros on-site for adults. Children under age 8 are admitted free. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Included in the price of the ticket is free local transportation.
