The final days of Budapest’s Sziget Festival, known as one of the biggest multicultural nonstop music events in Europe, wrap up Monday. The festival offers about 60 venues and 200 programs daily, with bands playing just about every kind of music, from pop/rock to world and electronic, to metal, folk, jazz, blues, alternative and even classical. Sziget also offers cultural programs, such as theater productions and art exhibits. Its website boasts: “This is the only big festival where you will find a Roma (Gypsy) tent and even a gay-lesbian venue.” Many fans will stay at the festival area in inexpensive tents or campers, but there also are many hotels in the city.
