This year, the east Bavarian city of Passau celebrates its 350th anniversary as a baroque gem. The highlight event is the Passau PArockt! festival from Friday through Sunday. Festival-goers can enjoy craftsmen at work, street artists, market stands, music and dance.

On Sunday at 2 p.m., more than 500 participants will march in a parade recalling Emperor Leopold I’s wedding in 1676. The couple portraying the historical figures will actually marry that day.

Festival hours are 4 p.m. to midnight Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Find more at www.bavaria.by/passau-three-river-city-bavaria.
