As in Italy, in Ticino you’ll find accommodations at places labeled agriturismo. The term means “agriculture tourism” and refers to farms with guest rooms. Some are basic and simple. But some are large estates with hotel-like rooms. These are in the latter category:
• Fattoria L’Amorosa is set among vineyards in Sementina. It also has a restaurant, amorosa.ch.
• B&B Vallombrosa in Castelrotto offers rooms, tours of the vineyards and wine tastings, vallombrosa.ch.
• For lunch or dinner in Arosio, try the cozy Grotto Sgambada.
