Stroll through nighttime Paris on Saturday as the city celebrates its annual Nuit Blanche, a free all-night celebration of contemporary art on display in several city districts. The 2012 edition, titled “Between the Sky and the Seine,” offers a walking path along the banks of the Seine River, with 15 points en route offering vistas of the city from vantage points normally off-limits to the public.
In addition, artists will display numerous works of contemporary art, and dance and theatrical performances will take place throughout the night. Participating cultural institutions include the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris, the Museum of Decorative Arts, the Louvre and the Centre Pompidou.
Nuit Blanche begins at 7 p.m. and runs until 7 a.m. Sunday. Info in English is available at http://tinyurl.com/9p4ree8.
