London: On Sunday, London, which claims to have the largest Chinese New Year festival outside of Asia, will celebrate the Year of the Tiger. Festivities officially open on Trafalgar Square at noon with dance, music, acrobatics, dragons, lions and firecrackers. Shaftesbury Avenue will mark the day with decorations, food and entertainment with the theme "Hong Kong in London Chinatown." Fireworks close the festivities on Leicester Square. Germany: IMOT on Munich’s M,O,C, fairgrounds hosts the International Motorcycle Show Friday through Sunday. Among the featured bikes are BMW’s 1300S, K 1300 R and K 1300 GT, which the company claims are the strongest BMW bikes of all time; Harley-Davidson’s V-Rod muscle power cruiser; the Honda Fireblade ABS with electronic steering damper, ABS and the Repsol replica paint job; and Triumph’s 15-year anniversary special edition of the Speed Triple SE. The show is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Tickets cost 12 euros for adults, 4 euros for ages 12-18, and are free for children up to age 12. Details at www.imot.de (in German).

Italy: For those whose passion is the sea, Rome’s Big Blu Boat and Sea Expo 2010 is the place to be beginning Saturday and running through Feb. 28 at the city’s Fiera Roma exhibition complex. The expo features more than 900 exhibiting companies in areas focusing on boats up to 65 feet and sailing boats with accessories and equipment, inflated boats and crafts, sport fishing (Feb. 25-28); and entertainment. The show is open 2-8 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays. The World Fishing show, which starts Feb. 25, is open 2-8 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Sunday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday.
