YONGSAN GARRISON, South Korea — The Army’s top-ranking soldier in South Korea warned other soldiers Friday against ordering the new battle dress uniform online.

U.S. Forces Korea Command Sgt. Maj. Barry Wheeler said the online version may fail to meet specific military requirements and appears to be more expensive.

The Army in recent months has begun issuing the new uniforms — which have a digitized pattern meant to be worn in all environments. The online version for a top and bottom costs $100, but on base they will cost about $73, Wheeler said.
