U.S. Army Europe officials expect more than 10,000 people to attend this year’s Land Combat Expo, from Sept. 21-23 in Heidelberg, Germany.

The expo will be held at the Patrick Henry Village Pavilion.

Featured speakers for the event are:

Sept. 21 — Gen. B.B. Bell, USAREUR commander.Sept. 22 — Polish Lt. Gen. Edward Pietrzyk.Sept. 23 — Retired U.S. Army Gen. Barry McCaffrey.Local units also will present war perspectives in seminars. On Sept. 21, the 7th Army Training Command will discuss training lessons learned for Iraq and Afghanistan. On Sept. 23, the 95th Military Police Battalion will present a “military police perspective” on Operation Iraqi Freedom II.

But there will also be seminars not related to the wars, including one on nonlethal weapons and another on peace enforcement in Kosovo.

Also, on Sept. 22, John Covey, who wrote “Six Secrets of Sustained Superior Performance,” will present seminars on teenagers, families and how to improve marriages.
