A Memorial Day wreath laying ceremony took place at the U.S. Navy Memorial in Washington, D.C., Monday, gathering spectators and honorees. The ceremony was led by Rear Admiral Patrick Lorge, USN, Commandant, with special guest Rear Admiral (Ret.) Deborah Loewer. The Navy Ceremonial Guard placed the wreath at the statute of The Lone Sailor under grey, humid skies.
