CLINTON, Md. — Officials with Operation Homefront were busy spreading holiday cheer Tuesday offering free food items to hundreds of military personnel and their families.

More than 300 families received meal kits during a Holiday Meals for Military event at the Colony South Hotel and Conference Center in Clinton, Maryland.

Each kit included grocery items necessary for a full holiday meal.
