In October 2012, about 50 of the country's most highly awarded servicemembers met for a weeklong convention in Hawaii. It was though t to be the largest ever group of Medal of Honor recipients ever. Stars and Stripes covered the event and talked to several of the recipients, who risked their lives to go above and beyond the call of duty.
