Hotel evacuated in Georgetown area of DC after threat

WASHINGTON — A hotel in the Georgetown area of Washington has been evacuated after receiving a bomb threat.
In a statement, Marriott says a threat was called in to the Marriott Washington Georgetown on Thursday morning and authorities advised they evacuate the hotel.
Marriott says guests were moved to a sister property nearby until authorities say it is OK to return to the hotel. The street the 470 room and suite hotel is on has been closed.
Police confirm that a threat was called in Thursday morning and police are on the scene.
