The U.S. military’s biggest base in the Middle East was hit with a missile Tuesday that slipped past air defenses as Iran’s attack on American military sites across the region continues.

Qatar’s Defense Ministry said an Iranian ballistic struck Al Udeid Air Base, without causing casualties.

Qatar, in a statement late Tuesday, said one of two missiles launched from Iran got through air defense systems while the other was intercepted.

The statement did not indicate what was damaged in the attack.

Hundreds of missiles and drones have been launched from Iran, many of which have been directed at U.S. military locations across the region.

In one of the attacks, six U.S. soldiers were killed when a drone hit an operation compound in Kuwait.

Bahrain, home to the U.S. Navy’s Central Command headquarters, also has been repeatedly attacked since the U.S. bombing campaign in Iran was launched last week.

The military is yet to give an account of the damage to its facilities in the Middle East. However, there are indications that many of the Iranian attacks have focused on communications capabilities used by the military.

A New York Times analysis Wednesday of satellite imagery found that satellite dishes, radomes and buildings used for communications, and radar systems were some of the assets damaged in the various attacks that have hit bases in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
