The U.S. military community in Heidelberg is marking Women’s Equality Day with an event that begins at noon Tuesday in the Casablanca Room (off the food court) on Campbell Barracks.

Lt. Col. Anita Greenlee, director of emergency services for U.S. Army Garrison Baden-Wörttemberg, will give a speech, according to a press release. There will also be a panel discussion in which members "discuss some of their experiences on equality."

Also attending will be officials charged with helping people register to vote. Information about Army Community Services, the American Red Cross, WIC Overseas, Education Center, Child and Youth Service (CYS), Nutrition Department, Wellness Center, Equal Opportunity, Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity, among others, will be available. Refreshments will be served at the event, which is open to the community and free of charge.
