Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany will host a health fair next Wednesday at its Heaton auditorium.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., more than 25 representatives will be on hand to answer any questions about military health services and benefits, as well as offer medical services such as pneumococcal and shingles vaccinations for retirees, according to a Landstuhl press release.
The Army Wellness Center, hearing clinic, Red Cross and Tricare are among the agencies that will attend. For more information on the fair, call DSN 486-7002 or civilian 06371-86-7002.
McFarlane takes ‘First Rock’ postVICENZA, Italy — Lt. Col. Matthew W. McFarlane took command of the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment in a ceremony Thursday at Caserma Ederle.
McFarlane, who served recently as aide-de-camp for the secretary of the Army, replaces Lt. Col. Mike Fenzel as commander of "First Rock." The battalion recently returned to its home base after more than a year in Afghanistan.
Fenzel will now attend the Naval Postgraduate School.
The battalion also switched its top enlisted soldiers. Command Sgt. Maj. John Bagby took over for Command Sgt. Maj. Richard Weik.
