U.S. Air Force F-15 fighter jets will conduct close air support training Monday morning in the skies over northern East Anglia, England.

U.S. pilots from the 492nd Fighter Squadron at RAF Lakenheath, England, will train with British Joint Terminal Attack controllers from 9 a.m. to noon at altitudes of 10,000 feet or higher to prepare for future deployments, a news release said.

Gorenc tapped to command 3rd Air ForceAir Force Maj. Gen. Frank Gorenc has been chosen to assume command of 3rd Air Force at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, while simultaneously receiving a nomination from President Barack Obama for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general, the Defense Department announced last week.
