The U.S. Army Soldier Show is accepting nominations for its 2009 season.

The traveling show of active-duty and Reserve soldiers is seeking singers, dancers, musicians and specialty performers, as well as audio, lighting, video and costuming technicians. Applicants must have a minimum of 90 days time in service remaining after completion of the tour in November 2009.

Applications are available at www.ArmyEntertainment.net., and completed packets must be sent by U.S. mail and received by Dec. 31.

USO, partners giving away 12 free flights to StatesSingle servicemembers grades E-5 and below have until noon Wednesday to enter a drawing for a free air flight home for the holidays.

Those wishing to enter should e-mail their name, rank, name of unit, unit location, contact phone number and a brief explanation of why they would like to go home free during the holidays to eagleradio@smc.army.mil.

Twelve winners will be announced Dec. 2 on the AFN Eagle "Midday Show."

The flights are being offered by USO Europe, United Airlines and CWT-SATO Travel.
