Kaiserslautern High School will host the 15th annual college fair Thursday, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in Building 237 at Rhine Ordnance Barracks in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

The fair, which offers high school students the chance to meet with college and university representatives and scholarship information, is the biggest of its kind in Europe, said Kaiserslautern High School counselor Gerald Oyan.

The event will include 110 exhibits and representatives from 95 colleges and universities in both the U.S. and Europe. Recruiters from all branches of the U.S. military also will attend.

The free event is open to DODDS students and their families.

Airman gets 25 days for marijuana useAVIANO AIR BASE, Italy — An airman assigned to the 31st Security Forces Squadron pleaded guilty to marijuana use and was sentenced to 25 days of confinement in a summary court-martial last week.

Senior Airman William Kebschull III was also reduced in rank to E-1 and will forfeit two-thirds of his pay for one month, according to a release issued by the 31st Fighter Wing’s public affairs office.

Army chaplain in Europe picked for promotionAfter 17 months as the top chaplain at U.S. Army Europe, Col. Donald Rutherford has been nominated for promotion to brigadier general and a new job as deputy chief of chaplains, U.S. Army, Washington, the Pentagon announced Tuesday.

Rutherford, a Roman Catholic priest, became command chaplain, U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army, in May 2006. That succeeded a year in Iraq as Multi-National Corps–Iraq chaplain, where Rutherford supervised nearly 300 “religious support teams” throughout the theater.
