Vilseck soldier dies in Afghanistan

GRAFENWÖHR, Germany — A member of the Vilseck-based 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment died in Afghanistan on Saturday, according to a Defense Department release.
Spc. David S. Robinson from Fort Smith, Ark., died near Qalat of injuries suffered in a non-combat-related accident, according to the release issued Monday.
A memorial for Robinson, who was assigned to Company D, 2nd Squadron, 2nd SCR, will be held at Vilseck’s Rose Barracks Cavalry Chapel at 10 a.m. on Dec. 2, said U.S. Army Garrison Grafenwöhr spokesman Nick D’Amario.
