WIESBADEN, Germany — U.S. Air Forces in Europe have released the identity of an airman wounded during the March 2 shooting at Frankfurt International Airport.

Senior Airman Edgar Veguilla from Wichita Falls, Texas, was one of the wounded from the shooting that left two U.S. airmen dead and two others injured, said USAFE spokesman Michael Kucharek.

The airmen were on a bus to Ramstein Air Base, en route to Afghanistan, when suspect Arid Uka opened fire, killing Senior Airman Nicholas Alden, 25, of Williamston, S.C., and the Ramstein-based driver, Airman 1st Class Zachary Cuddeback, 21, of Stanardsville, Va.

Staff Sgt. Kristoffer Schneider, 25, of Irwin, Pa., was also wounded in the attack.

The 12 uninjured survivors of the shooting returned to their home unit at England’s RAF Lakenheath on Monday.
