NAPLES, Italy — The George Washington University men’s basketball team, in Italy for a combination tour and competition, will play two games against U.S. military personnel, according to a release from the school.

The college athletes, based in Washington, D.C., will play at Camp Darby, an Army base in Livorno, and at the Navy base in Naples during the team’s 10-day trip.

In Naples, the game is scheduled for Saturday at noon at the gym at the support site in Gricignano.

The Camp Darby game will be Monday at 4:30 p.m.

Admission to the games is free. The home teams include civilians and active-duty servicemembers, according to base spokesmen.

George Washington University officials said this is likely the first time one of its athletic teams has faced off against an intramural team on a U.S. military base.

The Colonials will also compete against Italian teams during the trip.
