A 43-year-old soldier died last week of natural causes at his home in the Wetzel housing area in Baumholder, Germany, according to U.S. military officials.
Spc. Stephen B. Eckert, an armor crewman assigned to 4th Battalion, 70th Armor Regiment, 170th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, was found at approximately 7 a.m. Thursday and later pronounced dead by a German physician, according to a 170th press release.
