KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany — Army and Air Force Exchange Service customers who used their ESSO fuel ration cards in Germany on Sept. 5 and 6 might have been charged the wrong amount due to a computer glitch, according to AAFES officials.
Those customers are being asked to call AAFES so any errors can be rectified, AAFES officials said Tuesday.
“There were batch errors,” said Lt. Col. Al Hing, an AAFES spokesman in Europe. “We are working diligently to have them fixed by Oct. 26th.”
The system error could have affected some customers who used their ESSO cards either to purchase fuel or credit their ESSO accounts, officials said. They potentially could have been over- or under-charged, Hing said.
To have fuel card accounts checked, customers should contact AAFES at: yyeuessofuelcard@aafes.com, or call, from within Germany, 06134-715364/402.
