Power will be out for most of the support site base in Gricignano, Italy, on Thursday due to scheduled preventive maintenance on the power system by the Italian electrical provider, officials of Naval Support Activity Naples said.
The base enlisted housing units will not be affected by the power outage that will blanket the rest of the base. Senior officer quarters and the single sailor barracks, however, will be affected, according to information published in the base newspaper.
Power is scheduled to be cut Thursday, from 5-10 a.m., and will disrupt activities at the following locations: Navy exchange; Village Forum; Navy Lodge; library; youth and teen center; coffee bar; GEICO insurance office; United Service Organizations; American Forces Network studio; Morale, Welfare and Recreation auto hobby shop; housing welcome center; telephone switch facility and thrift store.
