CAMP RED CLOUD, South Korea — Access to some U.S. Army bases in Area I will be limited for a few days next week during a force-protection, base-defense exercise.
U.S. Army Garrison Red Cloud, in conjunction with the 2nd Infantry Division, will take part in the exercise from Tuesday to Feb. 24, at camps Red Cloud, Casey, Hovey and Stanley, according to a news release.
During the exercise, all vehicles and people will be searched, and movement around the bases will be very restricted, the release said.
On Wednesday, only soldiers, Defense Department civilian employees, family members with DOD identification cards and Korean national employees with Force Protection Condition Delta access will be permitted to enter the four bases.
Most Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, and Army and Air Force Exchange Service facilities will be closed that day.
Casey Elementary School will be open during the days of the exercise.
