11:10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, Japan time: Closest point of approach by Typhoon Nakri to Yokosuka Naval Base has come and gone. It is now bidding farewell to the Kanto Plain and hurtling out over open water in the northwest Pacific Ocean as a Category 1-equivalent typhoon.

At 9 a.m., Nakri was about 155 miles south-southeast of Yokosuka, rumbling east-northeast at 22 mph, packing 85-mph sustained winds and 105-mph gusts at center. This is the final report on Nakri.
