Pacific Army Week, which is this region’s way of celebrating the Army’s 240th birthday on June 14, 2015, hosted a series of events in Hawaii June 8-12, most notably U.S. Army Pacific’s Best Warrior Challenge. Soldiers and noncommissioned officers from around the region are competing in the areas of weapons, medical, leadership and others over a five-day period, with the highest scorers ultimately to be named NCO and soldier of the year. The week also included a beachside concert by the 25th Infantry Division band and a family fun run at Fort Shafter.
