MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan — Active duty, former or retired Marines in the Misawa community are invited to attend a birthday ball celebration at the base club on Nov. 10.

Retired Marine Mac McKenzie, event coordinator, said the celebration will closely follow a typical birthday ball, with the playing of a video from the Marine commandant, a fallen comrade table, and the oldest and youngest attendees cutting the cake.

No formal wear is required, but McKenzie asks attendees to “dress smartly.”

Those who wish to attend must RSVP no later than 5 p.m. Friday.
