Weather concerns have forced officials to cancel this weekend’s Foster Fest — an event that was expected to bring thousands of Okinawans onto Camp Foster for two days of family fun.
Forecasts of rain and high winds over Okinawa over the weekend led to cancellation of the free festival, which would have involved live entertainment, cultural food and game booths on the installation, said III Marine Expeditionary Force spokesman Capt. Justin Jacobs.
The next Foster Fest is planned for April 2013, Jacobs said.
