YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan — U.S. personnel are once again allowed to visit the bars near the front gate of Yokota Air Base.

On Friday, Col. Otto Feather, 374th Airlift Wing commander, lifted his two-week restriction of the off-base establishments, otherwise known as “bar row,” saying the safety concerns that prompted the ban had been addressed.

The restriction was put in place in mid-July following a Friday night brawl involving about 30 people, including some who were members of the U.S. military community.
