CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — An airman was injured when an Air Force crane toppled in a civilian parking lot on Guam on Tuesday, according to Andersen Air Force Base officials.
The airman was treated for minor injuries and was released Tuesday following the incident in the Harmon area of the island, base spokesman Tech. Sgt. Michael Andriacco said.
The crane belonged to Andersen’s 554th RED HORSE Squadron and was in Harmon for routine maintenance, Andriacco said.
He said the crane caused minor damage to pavement, but there appeared to be no other significant property damage.
The incident remained under investigation Wednesday, Andriacco said.
