CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — Maj. Gen. Mark A. Brilakis will relinquish command of 3rd Marine Division to Brig. Gen. Frederick M. Padilla in a 9 a.m. ceremony Thursday at Camp Courtney, according to a Marine Corps release.

Brilakis’ next assignment will be as deputy commandant of Programs and Resources, Headquarters Marine Corps, Washington D.C.

Padilla’s most recent assignment was commanding general of Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C.
