CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — Maj. Gen. James B. Laster will hand over command of the 3rd Marine Division to Brig. Gen. Mark A. Brilakis during a change-of-command ceremony at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Camp Courtney, according to a Marine Corps news release.

Laster’s next assignment will see him take command of Marine Corps Combat Development Command in Quantico, Va.

Brilakis stays on Okinawa after serving as the deputy commanding general of the III Marine Expeditionary Force and commanding general of the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade.
