YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan — The 5K Warrior’s Heart Run has been set for Feb. 27 at Yokota Field. The race begins at 6 a.m., and participants are asked to arrive by 5:30 a.m.

Competitive categories include men’s and women’s division ages 18-29; ages 30-39; ages 40-49; and ages 50 and over. A squadron traveling trophy will be presented to small and large units.

Registration is required for the race’s competitive part and can be done at the fitness center’s front desk or 30 minutes prior to the event. The first 400 runners receive a free T-shirt.

Adidas gear and Army and Air Force Exchange Service $50 gift certificates are among the door prizes. Water will be provided by Aquafina and Pepsi.

Driving range maintenance

YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan — The driving range at Yokota’s par-3 golf course will be shut down for preventive maintenance every Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Sept. 14.
