Carl Little of Okinawa’s Kadena Air Base and Maurice Owens of Misawa Air Base in northern Japan have gotten the nod to attend the All-Air Force men’s basketball tryout camp, slated for Oct. 18-Nov. 2 at Buckley Air Force Base, Colo.

For Little, 26, a staff sergeant assigned to Kadena’s 18th Maintenance Group, it will be his second trip to Air Force camp; he was cut in 2003, and says he intends to return with purpose: “I’m going there with the mindset to win the All-Armed Forces gold, which we haven’t done in awhile.”

The All-Armed Forces tournament, which Air Force hasn’t won since 2000, is scheduled for Nov. 3-11 at Fort Carson, Colo.

Owens is a senior airman assigned to Misawa’s 35th Communications Squadron.
