An airman and a soldier assigned to South Korea have been selected to the All-Armed Forces men’s basketball team following last week’s All-Armed Forces tournament at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C.

Wayne Wooley of Osan Air Base and Marcus Polarchy of Yongsan Garrison in Seoul were two of 12 players named to the All-Armed Forces team. Wooley helped lead Air Force to an All-Armed Forces gold-medal repeat; the airmen won all six games in the double round-robin tournament.

Wooley, Polarchy and the All-Armed Forces team now head to Mons, Belgium, where they will play in the 45th Supreme Headquarters, Allied Powers Europe international tournament. Team USA has won bronze medals in the past two SHAPE tournaments.

Falcons men repeat as champions of their own Kadena Classic: Led by co-MVPs Markel Felder and Jarrod Butler, host Kadena repeated as champions of the Kadena Classic interservice basketball tournament.

The Falcons cruised through the tournament undefeated, capping their run with a 100-68 trouncing of the Yokota Warriors on Friday in the men’s championship game at Risner Fitness & Sports Complex.

The victory came almost four weeks after the opposite occurred in the Warrior Classic at Yokota Air Base. On Oct. 11, the Warriors rallied past the Falcons 87-82 in the final at Yokota’s main fitness center.
