The 2013 European Tennis Championships run Thursday through Saturday in and around Wiesbaden, Germany.

Similar to golf earlier this month, this year’s DODDS-Europe tennis tournament features a streamlined field. Previous seasons saw around 25 entries per category – boys singles, girls singles, boys doubles, and girls doubles – in an elimination-style tournament. This year’s bracket consists of 16 entries per category arranged in a pool-play format. The top two entries from each pool will advance to an single-elimination bracket.

Preliminary action starts at 9 a.m. Thursday and Friday at three sites around Wiesbaden. All quarterfinals and semifinals will be played at Vitis Tennis Center in Nordenstadt starting Friday afternoon, as will Saturday’s third-place and championship matches. The finals are scheduled to start at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Lakenheath’s Peter Kovats and Wiesbaden’s Jade Sullivan occupy the top seeds in the boys and girls singles fields, respectively.
