VICENZA, Italy – All-European Larry Stevenson thrived in Sigonella’s spread-the-wealth campaign, pouring in a combined 39 points in the 2010 Division III European runner-up’s 59-45 and 69-62 road victories Friday and Saturday.

Saturday, Stevenson scored 25 points to help Sigonella to a 6-0 overall and Region IV mark going onto this weekend’s home games against Aviano. Marco Montero added 15 points to the Jags’ cause in the game in which both players were a perfect three-for-three on 3-point tries.

Friday, Stevenson tied teammates Chris McKissick and Michael Mink for game-scoring honors with 14 points. Each of the trio got into the team aspect of the game, too, according to coach Ross Brand. McKissick grabbed seven rebounds; Stevenson posted five rebounds, five assists and three steals, and Mink rang up five rebounds and five assists.

Vicenza will take a 2-4 mark into this weekend’s scheduled games at Naples.
