FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. — Six Pacific-based soldiers have been chosen for the 18-player All-Army women’s softball team, which defends its gold medal next week in the 2005 All-Armed Forces tournament at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.

South Korea’s 2nd Infantry Division Warrior Country is well represented. Chicola Barrington and Tracy Strain of Camp Hovey and Kimberly Sinclair of Camp Casey were selected, along with Lizabeth Himes and Shannon Eichenseer of Camp Long.

The only representative from Japan is Arlene Irish, based at Torii Station, Okinawa. The only other overseas player selected was Terri Andreoni of AFNORTH, Brunssum, Netherlands.

In the tournament, the players also will compete for berths on the All-Armed Forces team, which is scheduled to play in the Amateur Softball Association national championship Labor Day weekend at Shreveport, La.
